On 10 May 2017 we launched our first Call for Partners, an initiative carefully designed to encourage the fast integration of new digital solutions in the offer and/or technology of TIM.
The Call for Partners addressed startups and small ready-to market businesses operating in very specific sectors, with a digital solution either already market-ready or at an advanced level of development.
After the Call ended on 12 June, we selected 8 successful teams: we introduce them here!
OUR SECTORS OF INTEREST
Our scouting process was restricted to a small number of very specific sectors.
For the Consumer segment: IoT (with a focus on Smart Home and Smart Trackers solutions) and Digital Identity & Mobile Payment.
For the Business segment: Cyber Security and Industry 4.0. For these two sectors, we worked together with Cisco, an international partner which helped us in our selection and which will contribute to the teams’journey with its know-how and experience.
Successful teams gained access to the Co-Creation Program, a program designed to help them launch their new product or service. The program consists of two phases:
- Co-Design phase: with a duration of 8 weeks beginning on 10 July, it has the aim of producing a feasibility study on the integration of the digital solutions in the offer and/or technology of TIM;
- Pilot phase: with a duration of around 3 months beginning in mid October, it has the aim of testing the solutions to assess their functionality and value on the field. Projects are chosen to access this second phase based on the level of interest expressed by the TIM Business Units, which collaborate closely with the teams in the Co-Creation Program.
Throughout the program, teams work alongside qualified mentors who, depending on the project’s level of entrepreneurial development, act either as accompaniers or as technical and management support.

Albo Veloce. Successful startups and small businesses are immediately accredited as TIM suppliers thanks to the TIM #Wcap-dedicated fast track.
TIM Ventures. Teams gain privileged visibility vis-à-vis TIM Ventures, the corporate venture capital of TIM, which invests in the most interesting partners for the corporate business strategy.
TIM Open. Startups and small businesses with developed apps for businesses and professionals establish relations with TIM Open to sell their apps on the TIM Digital Store.
